An Eneloop AA can easily provide 4 Watts, i.e. at 80% driver efficiency I expect 350 LED lumens, resp. 300 ANSI.

I'm afraid it will be an "high output only" dragster wich will provide the "10000 lumes" only for a few seconds...
So maybe a pocket rocket with 300 to 320 Lumens, and a bigger reflector than usual? Something similar to the Lumapower D-Mini, but for AA?

Brightest 1AA flashlight? That means brighter than the new ZL SC52 (300lm). What´s about the runtime then?

I say, a new ThruNite could be the Light we are searching for. About 650Lumen from 1 AA! May be ThruNite Nite OwL
light-wolff hat doch schon schön vorgerechnet, was man sich aus einem 1,2 V Akku an Leistung erwarten darf. 
Warum werfen dann alle mit solchen Phantasiewerten wie 600 oder 800 Lumen um sich?
Irgendwo ist einfach eine Grenze erreicht.

According to the data found at the Zebra Light Website the new version of their SC 52 (L2) should generate around 300 Lumen (OTF) from a 2000er Eneloop. So this looks like the figure to beat, and preferably for more than just 30 seconds.
Any reliable output exceeding this value should be considered as the present leader of the pack

Probably no existing one, but ThruNite is announcing a new one here.
An Eneloop AA can deliver 4 Watts for about 30 Minutes without even getting hot.
At 75% driver efficiency (80% was a bit optimistic with this setup), the LED gets 3 Watts - enough for 350 emitter lumens. Where's the problem?

So ein AA Eneloop liefert auch 8A ohne unter 1,2V einzubrechen, das hab ich selber ausprobiert. Lange würde er das aber wohl nicht machen vlt 10min maximal. Damit wären aber sagen wir mal 1,1V*8A*0,75=6,6W. Damit wären 500lm rein theoretisch schon möglich. Ob sich das aber ein Hersteller antun würde sei dahingestellt. Denn mit irgendwelchen Akkus oder Alkaline Batterien wäre die Reklamationsquote verheerend.
Hm, die von mir vermessenen Eneloop gingen schon bei 5A unter 1,2V.

Auch nach HKJs Messungen ist aus den weißen Eneloops (HR-3UTGB) ab 5A oberhalb von 1,2 V kaum noch etwas zu holen:

Selfbuilt estimates the Zebralight SC52 at 290 lm and the Armytek Partner A1 at 300 lm. Since there is a XP-G1 inside this Armytek, there should be room for more. My guess is 360 ANSI-lumen.
Hope the upcoming light can also run on 14500s to exceed 700 lumen.

Das bringt es auf den Punkt, ich habe noch keine Lampe unter den Luxmesser bekommen, die mit 1xAA auch nur annähernd die 300 Lumen gepackt hätte.
Dass diverse Firmen laut Katalog 290 Lumen oder ähnliche Werte versprechen, ist eine andere Sache
Ich lass mich wirklich gern vom Gegenteil überzeugen, da ich selbst auf so eine Lampe warte.

Wieviel reale Lumen bringt denn die SC52 mit Eneloop?
Hast du die zufällig mal selbst zum Messen da gehabt?
Gegenüber Messergebnissen aus anderen Foren bin ich etwas skeptisch.

Die SC52 hatte bei meiner Messung etwa 220 Lumen, was schon ein ausgezeichneter Wert ist. Andere Hersteller stehen meist dahinter zurück.
Basically the question is: How much can be squeezed out of an AA eneloop.
Maybe Thrunite has the answer?

we talked about the fact, that there is no existing 1x AA flashlight with the power of "real" ~300 Lumens (ANSI), not LED-lumens.
For example the very efficient Zebralight SC52 reaches around ~220-230 lumens. This will be your benchmark.
