I wish a softer "Hi"
280 Lumen => 800 Lumen is a big Jump
But
800 Lumen => 1050 Lumen i cant see much difference

The Ultimate Dream TN12 will be a combination from Neutron 2C an TN12 2014:
"Hi" around 600 Lumen
optional very short Flashlight with 1x 18350 (16340 oder CR123)
but still with tailclicky

plus an optional Throw Head with larger diameter

:-D

btw
sry 4 bad english
:peinlich:

Hello David

my wishlist for transition tn12 2014 - 2015:

1. firefly with 0,05 Lumen

2. body a little bit shorter

3. more modes (eg. 5 or 6; 0,05L ; 25L ; 150; 350L; 600L +high) no strobe

4. XP-L LED in CW + NW

5. multi-color coating (Body in 3 or 4 colors) not a must have, but nice

giveaway.

Hi,

what are your suggestions?

deliver a consistent light color.

People keep buying two or three TN12, and keep the one with the best color, and return the others. I can imagine that has to hurt, financially.

Also, for NW (neutral white), even the "best case" one can get has a tad too much green in it.

This is one of the better TN12 in NW:

And this is the color of a competitor product (EagTac P200LC2 NW):

I agree with these wishes.

AND!!! leave the Strobe away!!!

To say it in short way: I would prefer the TN12 with the UI of the Neutron 2C but only with a tactical switch at the end (only one switch!) and to use with 1 x 18350 or 1x 18650 (with extention tube like the 2C)

Hi,

I really recommend that there should be a better solution for the screw tile that holds the tailcap clicky. After some time of use it so loose that the clicky doesnt work.

Good idea.

There's not much to do:
  • forget the Turbo mode, but do not touch the outputs at the other levels (no one needs the very last lumen on a household multipurpose light for overheating the device)
  • come back to fine neutral white from the very first wave
  • LED on copper board (just to point out a premium argument, guess it's not really needed if turbo isn't present)

Edit:
I forgot to mention
  • quality assurance before delivery! (tailcap fixed, clean reflector, function over all and tint)

That's it.

Not necessary but nice to have: screwed clip or clip with ring under the tailcap.

A Selector-Ring would be fine. I don't want to switch through six modes (as Nightlight wishes) to reach my designated mode.
A little bit more compact would be fine.

I agree with ger-slash. A tn12 with a magnetic ring control would be great. Either continuous or with steps as for your tn32. But please no strobe and the off must be at the low side and not at the high and of the ring! If this is not an option I like the UI of the Neutron 2C.
Besides this a consistant quality and tint of the offered LED is a must!
Regards Frank

That doesn't hurt Thrunite because Amazon resells the flashlights, which they got back from frustrated customers.

And Thrunite doesn't check the flashlights, which have been sent back, as long as they are not labeled as "not working".

A bad tint is no argument for Thrunite for not selling the flashlight.

I've mentioned that point in the "your experiences with TN thread" but David hasn't been willing to go into this up to now.

The topic was "updating TN12", not copying Armytek or creating another Nitecore.
Update means (more or less slight) improvements on an existing device.

I would be very happy with the TN12 (2014). I'm not happy with the neutral white, it has a too greenish tint.
The TN12 (2014) has a not too tactical look, which I like. I also like the two Switches and the tail stand. The smooth reflector gives a very good throw und flood. An updated version could have a bit more throw and just little bit less flood (only nice to have). But do not use a bigger head, because the TN12 (2014) has a good size.
I like the 0,3lm, 20lm and 280lm Modes. A next step could have 500-600lm and then 900-1000lm.

Make, that it works longer than a few weeks.
The side-switch of my light was very fast defekt.
I bought the TN12 second hand in the TLF-Marktplatz.

Thanks for asking for suggestions.

Have a TN12 2013 aswell as a TN2014 on my own.

There are just 2 facts I would wish for the future :

Better quality-controll !! Mainly the alu-contact ring in the tail-Cap.
Improve it please! Had my TN12 2013 serviced twice because of that ring and it is still faulty....

And put the side-switch please outside the closed led part.

Have now the problem, that my TN12 2014 isn't really working anymore because something inside the head got broken at the side-switch. Can hear it falling around ...

Thanks for all.
