Hello guys, I would like to show the newest version of Imalent DDT40.

Features

My impressions,

Pros

+ Good build quality, nice black design
+ Well lubricated threads/o-ring
+ Well centered leds
+ Use latest XM-L2 (U3 bin) leds with nice cool white tint (not greenish or yellowish in lower modes)
+ Slightly narrow, but perfect beam quality. No visible rings or other problems.
+ Good throwing capable (48000cd)
++ NO visible PWM or other irritating flickering (lowest to highest mode, all OK)
+ Noise free driver
+ Infinitely variable brightness, 5 lumen -> 4000lm (spot) or 5 lumen ->1180lm (flood). lowest to highest mode need ca. 4-5 sec.
+ Hidden extra modes with variable brightness, strobe, beacon, SOS
+ Moonlight mode (pls check other comments section)
+ touch sensitive "buttons" easy to use
+ Small OLED display which can show actual voltage, compass, lumen (ca.), modes (strobe, beacon etc) and temperature (ca.). The display looks clearly visible.
+ Built in charger, stopped 4.15V (but display showed 4.20V), all cells came same voltage. (Imalent said, the built in charger use CC/CV algorithm)
++ Remote controller. One of the best feature, very useful. Reaction time is perfect.
+ Tripod mount
+ Stable tail stand capable
+ Extra display cover
+ Good quality remote controller, the shiny parts looks real metal, not cheap plastic

Cons

- too small/tight holster
- spot lights no memory, always start max output (flood lights have memory)

Other comments

- I would like more precisely voltage meter, my DDT40's show ca. +0.07V than real voltage.
- Remote controller, extended working range (maybe 30-50m) and slightly quieter buttons would be better
- In reality the 5 lumen mode (spot) looks much lower than 5 lumen. Looks lower than Olight S20R moonlight mode which comes 1 lumen.
- you can't use spot and flood lights in same time

Overall I'm satisfied, this flashlight comes many useful features, real low mode, touch sensitive buttons with infinitely variable brightness control, tripod mount, remote controller, flood lights, displayed real-time voltage etc

Beautiful and professional pictures
Tell me your thoughts about the claimed brightness, for example in comparison to the 1800-lumens LD50. I am interested too in your opinion about the handling and UI.

Thanks for the great pictures. If you have a Nitecore TN26, you could also ask the Imalent DDT40 compare? Would certainly be very interesting.

Bernie, unfortunately I don't have TM26. , but I'm sure TM26 beam type and performance looks very similar. I have another similar flashlight with deeper reflectors, this is Blackshadow Terminator T70, this light use 4pcs XM-L2 U2, ca. 3500lm/ca. 45-50kcd.

amaretto, the brightness looks ok for me, maybe not 4000 lumens, but I think close. About the UI, my only one problem, that no memory, but I really like the touch sensitive buttons. I checked how many modes available in reality, and I counted ca 100 different brightness modes (only spot).
