Stepdown on med to 400lm? Why is that neccesary?
And I wish there was a setting around 1000 to 1200 lm that lasts a bit longer than the 2000lm one, like 5 minutes or more...
Are the stepdowns managed by timer or by temperature?

Apart from that: Nice looking light :)

Edit: and +1 for NW or High-CRI ... +2 for NW AND High-CRI ;)

Hi Sir, this is a high-performance light and generates significant heat in Turbo mode. To protect the light and user, output on Trurbo will drop to 600 after 30seconds. Output on Med will drop to 400 after 3 minutes

The 520 lm mode makes no sense, better make it just 400 lm without throttling.

Suggestion: low 20 lm, mid 100 lm, high 400 lm, turbo depending on battery used and of course with throttling.

This stepping would make each step twice as bright as the lower one.

If the controller has the capability, add a setup function which allows the user to select the action when activating "strobe":

1 - strobe
2 - moonshine
3 - nothing

Looks good!

Utilizes CREE XP-G3 S5 LEDs
Which chromaticity binning (color temperature)?
(S5 is a flux binning and could be 5000-6000K)

· Temperature protection overheating
By real temperature measurement/control or just timed stepdown?

Please offer NW or High CRI options.
+1 for NW

So stepdown is manged by time, not actual temperature? I prefer real temperature control like for instance in Zebralights.

For the civilized part of the world: length 82.3mm, body diameter 23.1mm, head diameter 29mm.
