i would like to show my sincere appreciation to everyone here. i am from China, and i have some foreign friends around the world, but most speak english. i am planning to have my own store of flashlights, but i do not know too much about them. and some friends told me that i could learn much about the flashlights here, so i just join . hope will learn a lot from you here. thanks

why problem? In fact, almost every "old" light with incan will be replaced by led technique - sooner or later. Perhaps some prefer incans only because of the warm tint. The more led-lights are available with warm or neutral tints too the more incans become useless or outdated. So i can see any benefit for keeping to incans.

LED will rule the world.
IMHO the trend goes to High-CRI-LEDs.

If you are looking to sell small to medium sized torches, you simply cannot avoid LED technology because of its huge advantages (brightness, robustness, long lifetime of the actual emitter, just to name a few). For absolute maximum brightness you will find a number of lamps with HID technology emitter - but those lamps are all much bigger and heavier (the smallest HID emitter torch is probably in the range of rather big LED torches). But these also cost a fortune. My guess is that of the more than 2000 registered users here in this forum, 99% own a brand LED lamp but probably much less than 10% own a HID emitter toch.
Speaking about Bulb torches: apart from the warmth of the light that they emit, I see basically no advantage (forum co-user are free to prove me wrong).

efficiency of a bulb is horrible. You can rather use it for heating than for lighting.
