Thrunite Ti2 + Nichia219 HighCRI + copper body ;)

Best regards

Mario

This would be a nice thing  but I´m afraid this would be a too complex and complicated change :S

Maybe a TN12 with a UI like the Neutron series:
Line 1 (head closed): Turbo - beacon
Line 2 (head slightly loose): firefly - low - med - high

Reverse clicky with memory;
XM-L2 LED NW
regulation optimized for 1 X 18650 #4,2V

Best regards
Jürgen

TN12!

3 modes: Moonlight, Mid, High.

Always start in Moonlight.

Possibility to activate High directly from every mode (similiar to Spark-UI)

Temperature regulated.

Low Voltage warning.

XM-L2 NW (or XP-G2 and diffusor).

I would regret to find a weak XP-G2 in a possibly modified TN12 instead of a NW XM-L2 with about the same luminous flux as the stock TN12.

The 600-700lm should be be a lot more attractive for the majority of possible customers, since there are smaller lights with XP-G2 than the TN12.

What is the minimum Order of special requests that ThruNite be considered. ?

Please remark that the forum (TLF) cannot and will not "order" a quantity of flashlights. David from ThruNite have to guess the possible demand and produce the flashlights at his own risk. Sell it at their Amazon Shop.

TN12 style (1x18650) - no strobe - firefly mode (starts with) - LED: Nichia or XM-L2 nw
4 or 5 modes should be fine.
(Nichia would be preferable, even though it has less lumen than the XM-L2 - high CRI more important than lumen!)

Hello David,
I like the T30S really much (1x 18650, nice knurling, cigar ring, good size and parts are interchangeable with the TN11S).

Which parts should be included to make a extremly great flashlight (many points, which are also named from a lot of TLF members):

- NW LED (XM-L2 T6 C3 or Nichia 219)
- 4 modes (fireyfly, high, mid, low) , not strobe or SOS
- working voltage: Up to 8,4 (people can choose 1x 18650 or 2x 16340 or 2x 18350)
- cigar ring

- special color: A blue flashlight would be great (my favorite color and I own three blue flashlights - but please a dark one as the Tis), but my dream is a white with glow in the dark effect. The shop Overready sold a few Surefire with this great cerakote. Here is a picture of one:
http://oi29.tinypic.com/330wqb4.jpg

With a different color we can also make two colored TN11S/T30S (if we own one)

Things I don't need:
- clip (does anybody use clips on a flashlight?)

I would prefer Lumen over a High CRI LED, otherwise exactly what I would look for (and most likely order immediately)

I think there are more than enough lamps that provide a lot of Lumen instead of high CIA already available. Do we really need more of those?

Yes, absolutely- if it comes in a small package like TN 12 with tail cap switch & momentary :p;)

Actually, there is no real competitor to the TN 12 (2013) on the market.

Alternatives are not suitable for edc due to size, have side switches or lack of momentary-on.

However, I would prefer an Xp G2 instead of XM-L2. Xp G2 should still provide reasonable spill in small reflector of TN 12 (2013) but considerably more throw.

And we won´t have too many lumens with this configuration :D

would only work well with a completely new driver (boost)

Thanks for your appreciation .and I think Tn12 2014 is very good as well. really!

Good? Maybe. But it's a different light. It's not a tn12 anymore.
What I don't understand is that the Lynx is very very similar to the scorpion V2 but you renamed it. The tn12 2014 is totally different to the old one but you keep the name?!

No doubt, but as said by Silberkorn- in fact it´s a different light, not only an evolution or modification ;)

Especially concerning the small size, which set TN 12 (2013) apart from other 18650 flashlights.

I can only speak for myself- but this attribute (+ tail cap switch + momentary) was the USP of TN 12 (2013).

TN 12 2014 is the category of flashlights like nitecore p 12 or Fenix pd 35 which, in my personal opion, are too large for edc. Thats why I like TN 12 (2013) so much.

I would like to have the old(2013) TN 12 in NW.

I think this model is "the" ThruNite!

for modes: ultra low(firefly);low;mid; high (in this order)

and NO Strobe or SOS or Disco-whatever, PLEASE !

color: a dark grey would be nice

For me "the" Thrunites are Catapult, Scorpion and Lynx, but for this project a flashlight like the TN12 Works better, of course.

So I would like to have, like man others, a TN12-sized flashlight with High-Mid-Low and maybe a strobe like Eagletac, when double-pressing the clicky.

With XM-L2 NW or High CRI (like the Int'l Outdoor drop-ins) and more than 3A driven.

That package for an affordable price, like many other Thrunites, and that's it for me!!!
Oh, the colour should be silver or grey or something like that!

Greetings,

Bodo

As written before:
Something like the TN12 (1x18650)
No disco or something, maybe four modes (firefly, low, mid, turbo)
Nichia High CRI whatever bin neutral to warm white

Maybe something like two "drop ins", one with XM-L U2/XP-G2 R5 and one with Nichia 219A/B CRI92

This thread is about ideas and some "wishes" for a specific TLF-version from ThruNite.

Can anyone tell me where is the thread about voting "yes, up to 50 EUR, it's mine"? More committments mean more possible individual changes;)

There is nothing more to complete, except 1x16340 and with extender 1x18650 and of course the fantastic runtime of the TN12 (2014) in turbo mode!

Best regards to Thrunite and all TLF members

Wenn so eine Lampe tatsächlich raus käme, würde keiner mehr andere EDCs kaufen :D Das werden die Hersteller schon zu verhindern wissen.

@ThruNite
I hope we will get an inspiration or some informations about your ideas about an TLF-Flashlight soon. =)

A german old saw would say : "Wir sitzen alle auf heißen Kohlen."
In englisch: "We all are sitting on hot coals."

We all have given some really good inspirations about our view about a great special Light. =) =)

I hope there will be a big quantity so we all will have a chance to get those flashlight.
