Hello,
We just posted our Facebook page online:
https://www.facebook.com/supbeamfrance
On that page you have a video with a comparison between car headlights and the X60.
A video or pictures are meaningless without a reference, as you can toy around with your camera to get a brighter effect if you want, so here we used car headlights as a reference.
There are still a few kinks found on the pre-production samples that are being worked out. That's why we go through that phase. I don't understand how they got into reviewers' hands, these were meant for evaluation by dealers.
The X60's we ship out will be finished products ready for retail. These will be ready in a week or so, as Supbeam is still finalising its supply chain.
The one thing that won't be changed is the fact that the X60's on/off switch is in the same configuration as the X40.
If you want to operate the on/off switch with one hand, it's possible, you just need to use your pinky or ring finger: Hold the light upright, slide your hand down until the pinky or the ring finger reach the bottoms and click it on. There is a dent on the bottom flange near the switch to facilitate this.
The standby mode as found on the K40 would seem easier but to me it seems harder to rotate the ring with one hand than to just click it off with one hand, if you really can't use the other hand.. That's probably why they didn't do it in the first place, but it would also increase complexity and cost.
The X60 has a lot of Supbeam competitors on edge. Expect some overreactions here and there, it will take some time until we get a good overview of the unbiased reviews.
